Highly recommended builders
RCP Developments Ltd. is a family run Chelmsford based building company undertaking a wide variety of projects from small extensions, refurbishments, new house building developments and more traditional contracts of barn conversions.
Established in 1975 by its founder Richard Penson, today the company is managed by Richard's sons – James and Russell. For over 35 years the majority of our work has been from recommendation. We have worked for many clients over the years who come back to us time and again.
NHBC Contractor
As a new house builder RCP Developments have been building several new build dwellings each year, all built to the latest NHBC specification, which we have been an approved NHBC contractor since 1981. Registration no 32409. All works carried out by RCP Developments Ltd. are covered under our guarantee scheme.
Our workforce
Our skilled workforce provide an extensive range of in house trades. We have also built a selective group of skilled sub contractors who have worked well with us over many years on countless projects.
Building Excellence Awards
We were a finalist in the 'Best Change of Use of an Existing Building' Category in the 'Building Excellence Awards' for our work on the Nissen Huts.
RICS Awards
We received a 'Highly Commended' Award in 2019 for our Conversion of the Nissen Huts.
